AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) PEDESTRIAN MOBILITY SELF-EVALUATION AND TRANSITION PLAN
The City of Sumner invites you to comment on the City’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Pedestrian Mobility Self-Evaluation (PMSE). The PMSE cannot be successful without the direct input and participation of its citizens and community leaders.
About the Pedestrian Mobility Self-Evaluation
The PMSE is a comprehensive report that outlines barriers for people with disabilities as they seek to use Sumner’s sidewalk system. Often, pedestrians themselves are the best at spotting and identifying obstacles and potential barriers.

About the Transition Plan
The Transition Plan includes a list of barriers that need to be removed in order to make the sidewalk system accessible. The plan also establishes a timeline for barrier removal, typically over a three year time frame.
