Our online utility bill pay system is currently down. The software vendor is looking into the issue. In the meantime, we will not proceed with shut-offs as scheduled for 2/28/23 and will update the timeline when the system returns. You can still pay by credit card, check or cash at City Hall.

One of our most important audiences are children.  We want to give children young and old the tools they need to be safe.  Most importantly, we want them to know that throughout their life, police officers are there to help them when they need it. For that reason, Sumner designates one officer to be the School Resource Officer. Currently, Officer Watson is Sumner’s School Resource Officer. This is an ongoing partnership between the Sumner Police Department and the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District.

In addition to the School Resource Officer, we partner in other ways with Police participating in the District’s Convocation to welcome staff back at the start of the school year. Chief Moericke also participates in Youth Forums and Communities for Families, and Police staff partner with the Sumner-Bonney Lake Family Center for the annual Toy Box drive.

Please let us know if you have any questions about our School Resource Officer program, and our ongoing work to keep children safe and foster a life-long positive relationship with police officers.
