tpo-feature-1Sumner’s Wastewater Treatment Facility was in the November issue of Treatment Plant Operator, a nation-wide magazine about treatment facilities.  There’s a lot of technical language, but the short version is that Sumner’s use of cooking its own Class A biosolids, given away free to gardeners and farmers as Sumner Grow, is quite innovative.  It has already saved the City (and rate payers) money as well as improved Sumner’s environmental stewardship, eliminating the need for multiple truck trips a day for other disposal options.
