Invitation to Take the ESNP Survey

The City of Sumner is updating the long-range plan for the East Sumner Neighborhood. We’d like to hear your ideas!

The update will address issues like wetlands, pedestrian connections, commercial development, higher residential densities, and how to create a walk-able, mixed-use neighborhood.

Proposed changes include removing 62nd Street extension, creating a central wetlands preserve, and changing the type of residential uses allowed.

Where we are now in the update:

Wetland studies in the central neighborhood are being finalized and will soon be available for review.

An online survey asking for your ideas about the neighborhood is now available on our website here or at:

What’s up next:

City staff are preparing a draft neighborhood plan that will be reviewed by the Planning Commission in summer 2020.
