NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sumner Environmental Official has received a SEPA Checklist and application for the project described below. 

Project Name: Cavalla Phase II – Demolition

Location: 16102 64th Street E, Sumner, WA 98390.  Parcel number #7001880160.

Proposal Description: The proposed project will include demolition of 5 existing commercial greenhouse buildings totaling 11,283 square feet.  Building pads will be revegetated upon removal.

SEPA Environmental Review: City of Sumner (lead agency) has reviewed the proposals for probable adverse environmental impacts and expects to issue a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS). This determination is based on, in summary, the following conclusions:  Proposal includes measures to address potential impacts, such as revegetating the site upon building removal. Comment Period(s):   Opens October 30, 2019 – Closes November 13, 2019

The optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This may be your only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project.  Comments must be submitted by the closing date noted above.  Agencies, tribes, and the public are encouraged to review and comment on the proposed project. The following conditions have been identified, to date, that may be used to mitigate the adverse environmental impacts of the proposal (in addition to compliance with regulations):  Revegetate building footprint upon demolition and follow BMP’s.
