CITY OF SUMNER NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR
CIP 19-02, MAIN ST AND WOOD AVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
The City of Sumner solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Civil Engineering Design. This agreement will be for approximately 9 months in duration with the option for the City of Sumner to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Consultants will be considered for the following project.
The City of Sumner reserves the right to amend terms of this “Request for Qualifications” (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses.
The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing engineering design and environmental NEPA for CIP 19-02. The proposed improvements replacement of the existing span wire traffic signal, replacement of concrete roadway panels with a new asphalt surface, completion of curb ramp and sidewalk upgrades to current standards, and reconfiguring existing parking on the southwest and southeast corners to reduce pedestrian conflicts. Design efforts will include preliminary right-of-way investigations and completion of a project funding estimate and property exhibits. This project has a 0% UDBE goal.
The City of Sumner reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with this project.
Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria:
1) Qualification of Proposed Project Manager and Key Staff Members
2) Qualifications/Expertise of Firm
3) Ability to meet schedule
4) Approach to project
5) Familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards
6) Past Performance/References
Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone and fax numbers; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; and Number of employees in each firm proposed to project. The submittal shall not exceed 15 pages of content. A page is counted as one side of a sheet of paper.
Please submit FOUR copies of your Statement of Qualifications to: City of Sumner, 1104 Maple St Suite 260, Sumner, WA 98390 ATTN: Michael Kosa no later than 2:00 p.m. on June 13, 2019.
