NOTICE is hereby given that the CITY COUNCIL WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING on the 2025 Annual Amendments docket item MA-01 for the proposed Town Center Plan Update. See project description below.
The public has the right to review the contents of the official file for the proposal, provide written comments, participate in the public hearings/meetings, and request a copy of the final decision. Description of Proposal: The proposal includes updates in the Town Center Plan (TCP) to reflect refreshed policies, updated zoning code text, and revised form-based code standards consistent with the Sumner Comprehensive Plan. The proposal includes amendments to SMC 18.29 (Town Center Code) and SMC 18.22 (Innovation District and Enterprise Area (IDEA) overlay), with changes reflected in the Town Center zoning map and street type classifications. The 2018 Planned Action Ordinance (No. 2668) would also be amended to reflect the cumulative evaluation of the study area in the Sumner Comprehensive Plan 2024 Final EIS, issued January 6, 2025, including amendments to the mitigation and updating housing and employment thresholds.
