NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sumner SEPA Official has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-significance and Notice of Adoption of existing documents for the 2025 Town Center Plan Update. Additional details can be found below and with the project documents.

The public has the right to review the contents of the official file for the proposal, provide written comments and request a copy of the final decision. Comments may be emailed to chrissandaw@sumnerwa.gov or mailed to the attention of Chrissanda Walker, Associate Planner at 1104 Maple St. Sumner, WA 98390.

Description of Proposal: The proposals include updates to the Town Center Plan (TCP) to reflect refreshed policies, updated zoning code text, and revised form-based code standards and design guidelines consistent with the Sumner Comprehensive Plan. The proposal includes amendments to SMC 18.29 (Town Center Code) and SMC 18.22 (Innovation District and Enterprise Area (IDEA) overlay), with changes reflected in the Town Center zoning map and street type classifications. The Planned Action Ordinance No. 2668 would also be amended to reflect the cumulative evaluation of the study area in the Sumner Comprehensive Plan Update 2024 Final EIS January 6, 2025 and the updates to the form-based code and design guidelines.
