Online Reporting Option for Non-Emergency Incidents
For emergencies or in-progress crimes and incidents, call 911.

Online reports may be used to report certain non-emergency crimes and incidents, including lost property, theft, vandalism, or vehicle prowls.

Concealed Pistol Licenses
Applications are accepted for City of Sumner residents who live within the city limits. Residents of other cities or areas must apply with their agency of jurisdiction. Residents of unincorporated Pierce County must apply with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (via South Sound 911).

Peddler/Solicitor Licenses
A license is required to engage in the business of peddler, solicitor, or canvasser within the city limits.  The license fee is based on the number of persons and the amount of days requested. Please review the city code for more details, and call 253-863-6384 during business hours to inquire about the licensing process.

Alarm Permits
Permits are no longer required for alarms. However, please continue to help prevent false alarms.
