Notice is hereby given that the planning commission will hold a public hearing on the 2025 Annual Amendments docket TA-04, a Comprehensive Plan amendment of the city’s Capital Facilities Plan to include the update of the School District Capital Facilities Plan, adopted November 2024.
The public has the right to review the contents of the official file for the proposal, provide written comments, participate in the public hearings/meetings, and request a copy of the final decision.

Comments will be accepted if filed with the Community Development Department on or before 5:00pm on September 10, 2025

Description of Proposal: The City of Sumner is amending the 2024 Comprehensive Plan to be consistent with the board approved 2024-2030 SBLSD Capital Facilities Plan, approved November 2024. The new Capital Facilities Plan includes additional information on future capital facilities improvements such as the Sumner High School Master Plan and Daffodil Valley Elementary Improvements. The new school district Capital Facilities Plan provides necessary updates to project costs, impact fees, enrollment, and capacity. These updates will be reflected on several pages throughout the City-wide Capital Facilities Plan chapters. The Capital Facilities Plan is adopted by reference as an appendix to the Sumner Comprehensive Plan.
