Sexual assault is a serious crime that sadly happens in every community, including Sumner. It can affect individuals across gender, age, socioeconomic status and situation. And, it can be very difficult for victims to discuss or even report. Like any crime, the best deterrent to cases is an active community who quickly reports suspicions and resources to help victims heal.
Rebuilding Hope Sexual Assault Center
Rebuilding Hope Sexual Assault Center offers support toward healing through advocacy and therapy for those affected by sexual assault and abuse. For over 50 years, this private non-profit has served as advocates and support for victims in Pierce County. They offer a 24/7 helpline and an online chat line.
