Ockham’s Razor, based out of Seattle, Washington, is a collection of Scottish and Northumbrian expats and American fans of the Celtic genre.

Since 2006 they’ve played with luminaries of the field, including The Cheiftains and Enter the Haggis, and helped to usher in the genres of Celtic Fusion and Celtic Rock into the Pacific Northwest, paving the way for other bands and musicians.

They were the first Celtic band to perform at the Northwest String Summit, and have sold out concerts across the United States.  They are the most streamed Celtic Rock band from the Pacific Northwest on Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, and Apple Music.  The are frequently featured on the influential Celtic Music Podcast by Marc Gunn, and have had featured spots on BBC Scotland, and RTE Radio.

Irish Music Magazine has called them “musical geniuses” praising them for their unique approach to combining Celtic traditional music with rock and roll.  Irish Music journalist, John O’Regan described them as “a Celtic Tour-de-force.”

Having released two EPs, three full length albums, one live album, a double album hailed as “powerfully dramatic… enthralling and exciting” and recently a brand new album revisiting some of their most loved and requested songs the band shows no signs of slowing down in the near future.
