In police work, sometimes you see people at their worst and sometimes at their best. Recently a 5th Grader at a Sumner elementary school was saddened to learn that her bicycle had been stolen from in front of the school. Anyone whose bike is stolen will be understandably upset, but she was also concerned as she relied on her bike to get to school. Officer Anderson, Sumner Police’s School Resource Officer, reached out the Bonney Lake Bicycle Shop of Sumner to see what they could do. Marshall at the Shop didn’t hesitate to donate a bike to this student. Please help us thank our generous local business. Also, we’ve included pictures of “the adult male who sunk lower than a footprint to steal a child’s bike from school” (as Officer Anderson wrote it). If you recognize him or have any information, contact our TIP line as the generous donation still does not dismiss the seriousness of his crime.
