We are in the thick of budgeting for 2027-2028. I know the word budget does not excite many people, but it’s so important. Our plans line up so many wonderful things for Sumner’s future, from our parks to our utilities. I’ve met with staff and used your priorities from the budget survey to make difficult choices. Now, slowly but surely, every Monday, we’re going through those choices with the City Council who will ultimately vote on a balanced budget by the end of the year.
