The Sumner Commuter Connector bus service will cease operations on December 31, 2024. The City of Sumner funded this pilot project for two years. In the first year, the bus provided a shuttle between the Sounder Station trains and the Manufacturing Industrial Center. The second year expanded to also connect commuters from Sumner’s east side at the Bill Heath Sports Complex to catch the train. Unfortunately, low ridership makes continuing this service not feasible. .
If you are a regular rider on the service, Pierce Transit may have a Vanshare or other options available to assist you in getting to work.
