| As you know, the City of Sumner operates animal control and sheltering for a number of cities as Metro Animal Services. Beginning September 1, the city of Milton has chosen to no longer receive services through Metro. If you live in Milton and have an animal safety issue, you will need to contact the Milton Police Department for help. Meanwhile, Metro Animal Services continues to serve Sumner as well as Puyallup, Algona, Pacific, Bonney Lake, and Edgewood. Remember, if you have an animal safety concern/nuisance, if you find a stray/injured/deceased animal, if you are missing your pet, or if you need to surrender an animal, contact Metro Animal Services for assistance. Anyone, no matter where they live, may adopt pets sheltered at Metro. There are a lot of adorable dogs and cats currently looking for great homes in any of our communities! |
