Last week members of our department had the honor of participating in the Special Olympics Torch Run as it came through Sumner.
It was an amazing experience to help carry the Flame of Hope and support the Special Olympic athletes who inspire us all with their determination, courage, and positivity! Events like this are a great reminder of the power of community and the importance of inclusion for everyone.
We are grateful to have been a part of it and are already looking forward to next year!

Monday, May 25th, City Hall and remote offices will be closed in observation of Memorial Day.
Flag placement at the Sumner Cemetery for Memorial Day will take place this coming Thursday, May 21st at 4pm for anyone who would like to participate.
