Our online utility bill pay system is currently down. The software vendor is looking into the issue. In the meantime, we will not proceed with shut-offs as scheduled for 2/28/23 and will update the timeline when the system returns. You can still pay by credit card, check or cash at City Hall.

Join staff from the Pierce County Assessor’s office for this free property tax exemption seminar for homeowners who are seniors or disabled adults. Staff members will be there to answer your questions and provide you with valuable information. Topics will include exemption income categories, appeals of denials, effects of death or retirement, and much more!

You may qualify for an exemption if you are over 61 years of age or fully disabled (80% VA) and have gross annual household income at or below $64,000.

During this seminar, you will learn how to accurately complete and return your application, including how to define your “residence” and other occupancy requirements. If you are a military service veteran, you will learn the difference between military payments that are counted or not counted as income. And very importantly, you will learn the expenses that you can deduct to bring down your annual countable gross household income!

Join them on Tuesday, March 11 from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Sumner Senior Center, located at 15506 62nd Street Court East, Sumner, WA 98390.
