Notice of Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sumner is considering vacation of 63rd Street East and a portion of State Street as described below.
Project Name: 63rd Street E Vacation
Location: That portion of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 23, Township 20 north, range 4 east, Willamette meridian described as follows:
The 63rd Street East (Harrison Street) right of way lying west of Washington State Route 410. Together with that portion of Sate Street described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the north margin of 63rd Street East (Harrison Street) and the southeast margin of State Street; Thence north 8.85 feet along said southeast margin to the beginning of a 27.35 foot radius curve concave southeasterly; Thence northeasterly along the arc of said curve and said southeast margin a distance of 27.66 feet, through a central angle of 57°57’00”; Thence northwesterly 60.00 feet along a line radial to said curve to the beginning of a non-tangent 87.35 foot radius curve concave southeasterly, being concentric to said 27.35 foot radius curve; Thence southwesterly along the arc of said curve a distance of 88.35 feet, Through a central angle of 57°57’00”; Thence south 8.85 feet to the intersection of said north margin of 63rd Street East (Harrison street) and the northwest margin of said State Street; Thence east 60.00 feet to the point of beginning. Contains 34,307 square feet, more or less.
Description of Proposal: Conduct a public hearing before the City Council to consider vacation of the above-described portions of right of way. These portions of public right-of-way will return to the property of the City of Sumner.

Date of Hearing: Monday April 20, 2026 during the regular Council meeting. The meeting starts at 6:00pm in City Hall Council Chambers.
