NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sumner issued a decision to approve with conditions a Resource Wildlife Hazard Area application for the Olympic Rockeries to reduce a stream buffer in a limited area of their site and provide mitigation buffer and enhance existing buffer. Additional details can be found below and with the project documents.

The public has the right to review the contents of the official file for the proposal, and appeal the final decision.
Appeals can be filed through the judicial system for 21 days from the decision date below.

Description of Proposal: The Olympic Rockeries site has proposed a buffer reduction of 1796sf of land in order to allow for vehicular circulation on a relatively narrow parcel of land ranging from approximately 75’ wide to 160’ wide.  The proposal is in response to code enforcement actions for buffer encroachment along the eastern edge of the site.  This proposal will include the placement of 1796sf of new buffer for mitigation of the proposed reduction.  The proposal also includes restoration and enhancement of the remaining onsite buffer of approximately 12,589sf which will include removal of encroached development, revegetation and critical areas fencing and signage.
