City of Sumner – Spring Clean‑Up 2026
Residents within the Sumner city limits are invited to participate in the 2026 Spring Clean‑Up Program. Please review the schedule and guidelines below.
🗑️ Extra Trash Collection – Wednesday, April 15, 2026
We will collect:
Up to three (3) 32‑gallon bags of extra household trash
🌿 Yard Waste Collection – Wednesday, April 15, 2026
We will also collect:
- Up to three (3) 32‑gallon biodegradable bags of yard waste
Yard waste must be set out in biodegradable bags.
🔧 Appliance Collection – Saturday, April 18, 2026
Please place one (1) appliance at the curb by 7:00 AM for complimentary pickup. No alley pick up for appliances.
Accepted appliances include:
Ranges • Refrigerators • Freezers • Furnaces • Dryers • Washing Machines • Dishwashers • Hot Water Tanks • Trash Compactors • Air Conditioners
Not accepted: BBQs
Note: This is the only day appliances will be collected.
Helpful Hints
- Do not use personal cans for extra garbage or yard waste—lost cans cannot be credited.
- Ensure all items are accessible by 7:00 AM to ensure pickup.
- Only the listed appliances will be accepted for collection.
- Clearly label yard waste bags so they are not mistaken for trash.
- Bag weight limit: 45 lbs (trash or yard waste).
- Not accepted: tires, car parts, furniture, mattresses, or other bulky items. All materials must be bagged.
