Teamwork in action! Our crews used a 12-inch pump (shoutout to City of Puyallup for the assist!) to lower pond levels near 29th St. This creates room for neighborhood floodwater to drain off the roads and into the pond.

Watch the video to see the team in the field! Stay safe, Sumner.

The Puyallup River is declining, and the area is no longer under an evacuation order.

Residents may return home but are advised to remain alert, monitor official updates, and be prepared should conditions change.

**LEVEL 2 EVACUATION NOTICE – 29th ST NEIGHBORHOOD**

We are issuing a Level 2 Evacuation Notice for the 29th St Neighborhood off of 142nd Ave. This means get ready to evacuate. Pack essential items into your car. The issue here is storm water backing onto 29th Street and other neighborhood streets, so access is the main concern. Our crews are heading there to try to reduce that water, but residents should prepare at Level 2.
