Sumner is currently exploring forming and funding a Transportation Benefit District (TBD). Already used by most neighboring cities in Pierce and King Counties, this District is a way to fund street maintenance and preservation. It is much cheaper and easier to maintain our streets rather than let them decline so far that we have to rebuild them completely.
