Our online utility bill pay system is currently down. The software vendor is looking into the issue. In the meantime, we will not proceed with shut-offs as scheduled for 2/28/23 and will update the timeline when the system returns. You can still pay by credit card, check or cash at City Hall.

Construction on the next phase of the SR 167 Completion Project kicks off this summer, and WSDOT is inviting residents to an online open house—available June 9 through August 9 at engage.wsdot.wa.gov/sr-167-completion-project/—to explore maps, timelines, and traffic impacts. The work will add a new expressway segment between SR 410 and North Meridian Avenue in Puyallup, complete with a new interchange, two bridges, and a stretch of the spuyaləpabš Trail, all part of a six‑mile tolled highway that will eventually connect Puyallup to the Port of Tacoma by 2030. Drivers in Sumner should expect intermittent construction disruptions beginning this summer. Those without home internet can access the open house for free at the Sumner Library (1116 Fryar Ave.), and questions can be directed to WSDOT Communications at 206‑440‑4704.
