NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sumner Hearing Examiner has issued a modified decision on a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application for the new Sumner Public Library development. The decision was a result of a request for reconsideration upon a previous decision. Additional details can be found below and with the project documents.
The public has the right to review the contents of the official file for the proposal and file an appeal per SMC 18.56.030(I). For purposes of LUPA appeal, the date of decision is March 4th, 2025. Appeals must be filed by Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 per SMC 18.56

Description of Proposal: The site is made up of three parcels totaling approximately 1.7 acres, the parcels will be consolidated into one lot for the new Sumner Public Library building. The building will be approximately 17,500 SF with additional associated site development. Site development will include the East Main Street frontage and on-site parking on the south side of the site, lighting, landscaping and stormwater management.
